at the 1% rate, you would have to charge $4000 to earn $40. it sounds like a lot, but it can add up fast if you use your discover card to pay your regular monthly bills. i make sure to use discover for my bills and whenever i have a large purchase to make (like my new computer). always pay your bill in full, otherwise you'll have to pay interest!
